Healed and whole

It’s been a while since I have written here on this platform and I’m excited to say that is due to having spent the last year writing a book!

After a friend said he would help coach me through the processing getting a draft manuscript together, I began the process of outlining a book that I will title Healed and Whole: Biblical Wisdom for Men and Women in Ministry. Due for release in February 2025, I’ll post some exerts here over the next few weeks and give readers a chance to sign up to my email list to hear news about the release and recieve a freebie ahead of launch day.

The publishing field around the topic of ‘men and women in ministry’ is awash with books, so why write another one? Well, this book is a little different. Rather than solely approaching the topic through the lens of our Orthodoxy (what we think) as most books on this subject do, I have felt led to explore things from another angle.

Many books on the topic of gender roles in ministry helpfully focus on defining our orthodoxy; what we think and teach. A few books comment on orthopraxy; our practical outworking of doctrine. Yet, when it comes to tackling our orthopathy; our resulting attitudes and affections – on this topic very few books have been written. This aspect of healthy theology is often overlooked. There remains a large hole in the maelstrom of mud-slinging around this issue; few authors seem to be writing in a way that cares for the hearts and minds of men and women; those wounded and weary from this fray.

The benefit to exploring the debate from this angle is that it provides a new set of questions to examine how men and women can lead in the church together. In the coming posts I’ll explore more about these questions and give readers a chance to sign up to find out more about the release of Healed and Whole.
