It’s taken me nearly 5 years to get the content of Healed and Whole, a book I’ll release in February, out of my head and on to paper. Today, in preparation for launch, I uploaded it to Amazon and ordered my first proof copy. It’s starting to feel real!
And so is the feedback!
I currently have a whole bunch of people reading an advanced copy and they are starting to send in their feedback. As well as picking up the usual grammar errors that I’d expected (I mean no-one’s perfect right?), what I hadn’t expected was that people would start responding like this…
“You write brilliantly! It’s like a strong fresh wind bringing a completely different perspective. I’ve read widely for 15+ years on this topic. Your book is unlike anything I’ve previously read in terms of its approach. It’s super easy to read but packed with wisdom, insight and challenge.”

The lady that sent me that quote read the book in a week! I honestly have not been prepared for feedback like this and I’m delighted. Now, granted, so far it’s people that know me who are reading it and giving feedback, so I should expect them to be a little biased. However, what encourages me is the thought of being able to ‘breathe fresh life’ into a publishing field that is STUCK in cyclical arguments that aren’t leading us towards greater unity with one another or helping us fall more in love with Jesus.
When I set out I struggled to believe that what I had to say would be worth all the effort and wrestle to get it out and into some sort of coherent order! I am grateful to a friend who helped coach me through the process and got me unstuck.
Healed and Whole will be out 4th February on Amazon. You can find out more by signing up to the mailing list and if you’re interested everyone that signs up to the mailing list gets a free tool to help men and women navigate the tensions that come up as we serve in ministry together.
I will post about more of the content from the book soon, so keep watching this space.
